NORWAY · LEVEL A · READY
Norway
Household preparedness benchmark: 1 week.
Evidence classification: all-hazards household + national infrastructure evidence.
Dedicated household space-weather guidance: Partial.
What Norway actually establishes
Norwegian self-preparedness guidance establishes a one-week household benchmark. National risk analysis separately addresses severe space weather and infrastructure disruption. Detailed household pre-impact sequencing for space weather is not separately published.
Three clocks
WARNING / MITIGATION
Official information and warning systems exist; the household space-weather sequence remains partly derived.
HOUSEHOLD AUTONOMY
One week is explicit.
INFRASTRUCTURE RECOVERY
No national one-month household stockpile target is established.
Household preparedness
Official guidance includes about 20 L of drinking water per person for the one-week benchmark, food for one week, at least seven extra days of regularly used medicines or medical equipment, some cash and multiple payment cards, off-grid DAB radio, torches, charged power banks, alternative cooking, warmth, hygiene and sewage-loss planning, hard-copy contacts and household cooperation.
Infrastructure dependencies
Norway’s national risk analysis supports severe space-weather and infrastructure-disruption analysis. System evidence does not automatically create additional household requirements.
Evidence limitations
- The one-week household benchmark is general self-preparedness doctrine, not a dedicated space-weather timetable.
- The fixed 20 L weekly water amount should not be automatically extrapolated to arbitrary durations.
- Detailed pre-impact household sequencing is not separately published.
